Get Ahead Promotion II terms and conditions

To be eligible for the Get Ahead Promotion II (the Upgrade Promotion), you must be a current dealer as at 30th April 2025 and must elect to upgrade your Motors dealerbase package with an upgrade start date between 1 May and 25 June 2025. The upgrade must be against your package as at 30th April 2025 (you cannot downgrade your package to then upgrade).

  • All quotes for upgrades must be accepted by the dealership between May 01st and June 25th 2025
  • Upgraded packages can start anytime between May 01st and July 01st 2025
  • If you are a dealer group, and you open a new branch before 25 June 2025, the base package for that new branch will be the same package of the most similar yard the group dealer is on. Any upgrade must be from that base package.
  • Vehicle Limits for a group dealer who opens a new branch in this time period must represent their actual number of cars listed the first month. (i.e. a dealership can’t open a Lite 25 then upgrade to Ultimate and get unlimited inventory and start listing 80 cars)
  • Fair and reasonable use applies in all cases and Trade Me reserves the right to review exceptions cases.

For dealerships not currently on Get Ahead Promotion I:

  • The Upgrade Path, to which the discount applies, is the price difference between the two packages, at the existing vehicle limit rate. e.g. Independent Ultimate 100 at $23,599 a month and Enhanced 100 at $9,599 a month. The standard upgrade price is an additional $14,000 a month, the Upgrade Promotion Upgrade Path price is an additional $8,400 a month (on top of your existing fees).
  • If a vehicle limit increase is initiated at the same time as the package upgrade, the Upgrade Path becomes the difference between the packages including the relevant vehicle limit for the upgraded package. e.g. if moving to Ultimate 125 at $27,399 a month from Enhanced 100 at $9,599 a month, the standard Upgrade Path is $17,998 a month and the discounted Upgrade Path is $12,200 a month.
  • If you upgrade your package as part of the Upgrade Promotion, with your upgrade starting between May 01st 2025 and July 01st 2025, you will not have any price increase on your upgraded package (excluding additional fees resulting from vehicle limit upgrades or listings over your vehicle limit) through to 01 July 2026. As long as you continue to remain eligible for the Upgrade Promotion, your price increase will be communicated to you on or prior to 1 May, 2026, effective 1 July, 2026 and reflected on your 1 August 2026 invoice.
  • If you decrease your vehicle limit below the level of your vehicle limit as at 01 May 2025 at any time during the term of the Upgrade Promotion (i.e. while any promotion benefits continue to apply), the promotional benefits (40% discount on Upgrade Path and price increase deferral) will immediately cease to apply. If you later increase your vehicle limit back to the level it was on 01 May 2025, you will be entitled to the 40% discount on the Upgrade Path from the date of the upgrade, but the price increase deferral will not apply.
  • If at any time after an upgrade is initiated, you decide to downgrade your package, then:

a. If the downgraded package is still above the your package as at 30 April 2025, the 40% promotion still applies but to the new Upgrade Path, and you are still entitled to the price increase deferral.
b. If the downgraded package is equivalent to or below your package as at 30 April 2025, all promotional benefits (40% discount and price increase deferral) will immediately cease and the new rate card for F26 will apply. A later upgrade will not then re-qualify you for any of the Upgrade Promotion benefits.

For Dealerships currently on Get Ahead Promotion

  • The Upgrade Path, to which the discount applies, is the price difference between the pre-Get Ahead Promotion I package/limit to the selected Get Ahead Promotion II package, at the same vehicle limit. E.g. A GAP I promotion upgrade from Independent Standard 100 at $7,399 to Enhanced 100 at $9,599 gives a promotional price of $8,719. The pre-Gap 1 package & price is Standard 100 at $7,399 which remains the base from which a further upgrade during GAP II is calculated. A GAP II upgrade from Enhanced 100 to Premium 100 will be calculated by discounting 40% of the pathway between the base, Standard 100 at $7,399 and the selected package, Premium 100 at $16,399. In this case the standard pathway of $9,000 is discounted by 40% which becomes $5,400. The total cost is base ($7,399) plus pathway ($5,400) = $12,799.
  • If a vehicle limit increase is initiated at the same time as the package upgrade, the Upgrade Path becomes the difference between the pre-Get Ahead Promotion I package/limit to the Get Ahead Promotion II promotional package/limit. E.g. A GAP I promotion upgrade from Independent Standard 100 at $7,399 to Enhanced 100 at $9,599 gives the dealer a promotional price of $8,719. The pre-Gap 1 package & price is Standard 100 at $7,399 which remains the base from which a further upgrade during GAP II is calculated. A GAP II upgrade from Enhanced 100 to Premium 125 will be calculated by discounting 40% of the pathway between the base, Standard 100 at $7,399 and the selected package, Premium 125 at $18,999. In this case the standard pathway of $11,600 is discounted by 40% which becomes $6,960. The total cost is the base ($7,399) plus pathway ($6,960) = $14,359.
  • If you upgrade your package as part of the Upgrade Promotion, with your upgrade starting between May 01st 2025 and July 01st 2025, your current price deferral will extend by 6 months, from Jan 01st 2025 to July 01st 2026 (excluding additional fees resulting from vehicle limit upgrades or listings over your vehicle limit). As long as you continue to remain eligible for the Upgrade Promotion, your price increase will be communicated to you on or prior to 1 May , 2026, effective 1 July, 2026 and reflected on your 1 August 2026 invoice.
  • If at any time after an upgrade is initiated, you decide to downgrade your package, then:

a. If the downgraded package is still above the your package as at 30 April 2025, the 40% promotion still applies but to the new Upgrade Path, and you are still entitled to the price increase deferral.
b. If the downgraded package is equivalent to or above your selected GAP 1 package, the benefits of that promotion will still apply.
c. If the downgraded package is equivalent to or below your package as at 21 October 2024, all promotional benefits (40% discount and price increase deferral) will immediately cease and the new rate card for F26 will apply. A later upgrade will not re-qualify you for any of the Upgrade Promotion benefits.

  • Large Group Discounts will be applied to the price after the application of the Upgrade Promotion discount.
  • Rebates will be taken after the Upgrade Promotion discount is applied and after any applicable Large Group Discount is applied.
