Property pursuit daily jackpot terms and conditions

Acceptance of these terms & conditions: The Property Pursuit giveaway (Giveaway) is run by Trade Me Limited (Trade Me, we and us). By entering into the Giveaway, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, you may not enter the Giveaway and you are not eligible to redeem a Prize. Trade Me reserves the right to vary, suspend or terminate these terms and conditions, the Giveaway or any Prize at any time, without notice to you.

1. Eligibility: Entry is only open to New Zealand residents who (i) are 18 years and over, and (ii) have an active Trade Me membership. Directors and staff of Trade Me, its related bodies corporate and any agencies or companies associated with Trade Me or the Giveaway are not eligible to enter.

2. Giveaway period: The Giveaway runs from 12:01am (NZDT) on 4 November 2024 until  11:59pm (NZDT) on 13 November 2024 (Giveaway Period).  

3. Daily Draws: There will be a daily draw for each of the 10 days of the Giveaway Period as set out below (each a Daily Draw):

How to enter: To enter a Daily Draw, you must complete the Property Pursuit quiz for that day and submit the email address connected to your Trade Me account during the entry period for that Daily Draw as specified in clause 3 above (an Entry). You may only enter each Daily Draw once. You do not need to get all of the questions of the Property Pursuit quiz correct, but you must submit your email address to earn an Entry.

5. Winner selection: There will be one winner for each Daily Draw. Trade Me will select a winner (Winner) for each Daily Draw at random from all valid Entries for that Daily Draw on the corresponding date set out in clause 3. You can only win a Daily Draw once, so a Winner’s entry will be excluded from any subsequent Daily Draw.  

6. Prizes: There are 10 cash prizes as follows:

• Two prizes of NZD$1,000
• Two prizes of NZD$2,000
• Two prizes of NZD$5,000
• One prize of NZD$6,000
• One prize of NZD$8,000
• Two prizes of NZD$10,000 

(each a Prize). Trade Me will decide, in its sole discretion, which Prize will apply to each Daily Draw and the Winner of each Daily Draw will win the Prize allocated by Trade Me to that Daily Draw. Each Prize will be credited to a New Zealand bank account nominated by the relevant Winner within a reasonable timeframe as determined by Trade Me.  

7. Winner notification and announcement: Trade Me will notify each Winner by phone and/or email (using the contact details registered with the Winner’s active Trade Me membership) and will request any additional information required from the Winner (such as a copy of their ID and evidence of their bank account number). If the Winner does not respond or otherwise make contact with Trade Me or provide the additional information requested within 24 hours of the notification, the Winner forfeits the Prize and Trade Me reserves the right to select another winner at random. 

8. Emails and electronic communications: By entering the Giveaway you agree and consent to us sending you electronic messages, including emails, related to the Giveaway. For example, we may send you an email if you are a Winner. Emails will have an ‘unsubscribe’ option where required by the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007.

9. Publicity: Entrants agree that if they are a Winner their name, their suburb/city and a description of their Prize will be published on Trade Me’s social media, within email marketing or on Trade Me’s websites.

10. Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trade Me shall not be responsible for any loss, damage or injury whatsoever arising from the Giveaway or receipt or use of a Prize (including but not limited to any direct, indirect, consequential, special, punitive or incidental loss or damages). Trade Me’s liability to any entrant or Winner or third party will be limited in any circumstances to a maximum for all claims up to $500.

11. Other terms: 

• Trade Me’s decisions regarding all matters relating to the Giveaway, including Trade Me’s decision regarding Entries, Winners, Prizes and allocation of a Prize to a Daily Draw is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• Each Winner will be solely responsible for any tax or other costs associated with their Prize. 
• A Prize cannot be changed, transferred, or assigned. 
• The Giveaway is solely operated by Trade Me and is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, any third party [including Facebook/Meta/Instagram/TikTok]. [Entrants release [Facebook/Meta/Instagram/TikTok] from any liability associated with the Giveaway or the Prize].  
• Trade Me may verify the eligibility of entrants, and reserve the right to disqualify any entry or refuse to award a Prize where we believe an entrant is in breach of these terms and conditions or has been fraudulent or dishonest. 
• The Trade Me terms and conditions (as amended from time to time) apply with all necessary modifications to the Giveaway and (if relevant) the use of any Prize.

12. Privacy Act: Trade Me will collect and hold personal information such as name, phone number and email address for the purpose of the Giveaway, including in order to notify you if you win, in accordance with our Privacy policy.
